NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / November 7, 2024 / Landmark Admin, LLC recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal data of more than 800,000 customers.This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to Landmark.
WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?
On or about April 13, 2024, Landmark became aware of a security incident on its IT Network. Landmark launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. On or about July 24, 2024, Landmark's investigation concluded, and the investigation confirmed that there was unauthorized access to Landmark's IT Network and data was compromised.
The investigation determined that the third-party actor gained access to Landmark's IT Network between May 13, 2024, to June 17, 2024. Landmark conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what types of information were compromised and how many individuals were affected by the incident.
Landmark's investigation discovered that the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been exposed in the data breach: Full Name, Tax Identification Number, Driver's License Number, Passport Number,Medical Information, and Health Information. On October 23, 2024, Landmark issued a public disclosure about the data breach and started sending notice letters to individuals impacted. Compensation may be available for those individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised.
